Sealed lens, what would you do ?

I was asked to clean a Yaschican 135 /2.5 (C/Y mount, aka YUS Automatic). The owner couldn't open it like what utuber did. He was so surprised I took out an ordinary hairdryer , give the lens 1 min of heat and unscrewed the lens. He was so frightened to try this himself since he was afraid of lens separation done by the heat. I never use any industrial grade heater to do this job.

Another way that I would do is to use the jeweler's hammer (smallest) or a plastic-headed hammer to give the lens a hit or two. Mostly ok on the old lenses. Plus a drop of anhydrous alcohol at the joints would definitely work .

What would you do to un-seal the lens ?

I think acetone works quickly on rings sealed with lacquer, allowing removal. I have also placed lens assemblies on my thermostatically controlled test print dryer. I know the lens assembly won't get hotter than the plate, so it is a little slower but more controlled than a heat gun.

Nothing very special, only two lens keys with eight different shaped bits from China.
Sometimes the ring that holds a lens has no notches or holes to insert the lens key - so you have to drill two holes, or to file or saw two notches in that ring.
But what can you do if the ring is much too thin for holes or notches?

I don't have something like that.
I have these spanner keys an a set of rubber cones, but no rubber cones with handles!
Or are you remembering my two oil filter keys?

These are not useful for small rings!

These are unuseable for removing small rings from the inside of an inner tube.
