I have come in possession (free) of a couple of large sheets of ‘SEAL ColorMount COVERSHEET’.
I am unfamiliar with these. Can they be used the same way as release paper is used with B&W prints?

I would appreciate your input and thank you in advance.

Info from B&H:

Seal/Bienfang Colormount Cover Sheets consist of a heavy paper stock coated with a protective glossy finish. They're available in packages of 6 and are sized to fit most mechanical dry mount presses.
Used to preserve and protect the finish of high-gloss RC photos.
A sheet is placed directly on top of a high-gloss photo when being mounted.
They are not a release material, and the mounting adhesive must be properly trimmed to avoid sticking.
When used correctly, ColorMount Cover Sheets last indefinitely.
