Just discovered this forum. I retired from the miltary as a medical/forensic photographer and have worked for reuters and a few other companies. Digital imaging dampened my interest in doing it for a living and I have just got back into taking b/w photos for a hobby. I have a speed graphic, med format yashica (yuk!) and a couple of my good-old-standbyes 'Nikons'. I have my darkroom in my laundry room and I enjoy developing and printing street scenes, architectural and landscapes. I prefer Tri-X 400 and also Plus-X. I have been using tech-pan for astro photographs, although I never really mastered that type of photography. I'm originally from Scotland (Dunfermline) and spent a great (26) years in the military (both countries). Look forward to learning from my fellow photographers, thanks.

Welcome from an Englishman living in the Borders 6 miles from the beautiful Scotland. You've found a great forum here, enjoy it. I'll say hello to Scotland for you in the morning when I pop out to make some photographs. I could also be persuaded to imbibe a little of that wonderful amber falling down ater on your behalf.
