Scotland or Wales?

I was thinking to join to grand tour which covers entire whisky distillers , got samples and reverse engineer their yeasts. Than I learned all the Scottish and Irish makeers buys from 3 or 4 source and max 6 variaties. Some use single yeast and make a malt some mix 2 different yeasts and make the malt and some buys many cheap whiskys and blunder with malt.
Last summer I made 19 liters of white appalachian whiskey with sugar yeast and water , my mother flushed it to toilet Thanks god , if you do not hot distill , I was distilling with freezing , it harms the brain !

... or save some money and go to Maine during black fly season. Same thing. No castles or abbeys but great landscapes and seascapes.
