Greetings Fellow APU`s

I'm Ali, (short for Alistair, never gone in for "Ally") I`m a 50* year old aging hippy, complete with long hair and beard, (winter only, I refuse to walk around with a cold chin.) I live in Dundee in Scotland, and I work as an Architectural Technician, specialising in Conservation work. I do most of my photography with a Contax 167, though I have a Mamiya Press and a Ziess Ikon Nettar for 120, and am just starting to experiment with Pinhole. but I really, really want a Large Format....have used one before when I studied photography....the stuff dreams are made of! I photograph Landscapes, Architecture, Portraits and Nudes. I work in Angus which has everthing from Mountains, Hills And Glens though rolling countryside to Cliffs and wide sandy Beaches on the coast, Buildings from Castles to Cottages, Water Mills to Chemical Plants. I`ll be posting some of me pix soon, see what you think.

Me I keep a beard all year round. In the winter I want my chin warm too. In the summer, I'm lazy. HA

I have a Contax 139 and a couple of Zeiss lenses. I love my Contax. Recently acquired a Mamiya 1000s 645 but haven't tried it yet.

Wow, you're older than Methusela (m/l - better be careful here or Roger will come in and correct me - both on the age and the spelling!).

This is a great site for us greybeards who still like to load film into cameras - as if there were any other way of taking photographs?
