I have been offered a Schneider SA 75mm f8 in a synchro compur 0 shutter. Included is the ND centre filter. Anyone used one of these and is it worth £150?
Glass is clean. ND has a small amount of seperation on out reaches

No - not personally. But I use a 90mm on 5x7".

Yes. If you don't want it, let me buy it.

Sounds like a good price if it is in good condition. They are sharp when stopped down, not much movements on 4x5.

I own a copy of this lens. The coverage for 4x5 is limited. I don't have the center filter so I can't comment on that. It's not a lens I use a lot. Negatives seem to be sharp.

I had one and sold it when I got an Apo-Grandagon N, which could cover 6x17, but the SA was fine for 4x5" and relatively compact. That's a pretty good price, too.

Hi there! That sounds like a good price to me, I have seen a couple of schneider 75mm's going for nearer £200 on trade sites (bearing in mind that I'm still a LF newbie ). If the person offereing it to you is well known, and they trust you, maybe they will let you borrow it for a few days to try it out? Then surely you would really know if it was worth it?

If thats not practicle then I still think £150 is a good price.
