Schneider 90mm f/4.5 APO-Componon for 6x8 format

Hi All,

Does anyone know if the APO-Componon 90mm f/4.5 will cover the 6x8 negative from Fuji GX680? The actual picture size is 76x56mm.

Schneider recommends 60x70 (in one of their catalogues, but also here https://www.schneideroptics.com/ecommerce/CatalogItemDetail.aspx?CID=174&IID=9138 ) although the link below shows an image circle of 87.8mm so you might get away with it.

You should be fine, although I'd prefer something in the 105 range, and personally typically use a 105 Apo-Rodagon for 6x9 film.

I just used mine for 8x10's from a 56x83 6x9 negative. Seemed to work Ok at the f11 I use. Normally I would use my 105 Nikon but didn't feel like changing out the lens for a first look print. I'll have to take a closer look as the Apo 90 should be a sharper lens than the Nikon 105 but what happens when you go to the limits. Wish I could go bigger in my 23c to compare the two with a 4x5 negative.

This doesn't answer your question, but the 80mm Rodagon-WA (note the suffix!) covers 6x9 per Rodenstock's literature. I have no idea how it compares optically with the 90mm Apo-Componon.
