Big, Bold, & Beautiful.

This incredible lens was the "superwide" on my Canham 8x20 camera.
Covers 8x20 with lots of room to spare.

105 degree field angle at f22. Schneider specifies the Image circle to be 500mm at f22, which allows 121mm Vertical shift and 108mm Horizontal shift on 8x10. Since I contact print 8x20, resolution and sharpness beyond Schneiders 500 mm circle was perfectly acceptable for landscape photography.

The asymetric design means that a center filter is not mandatory for those folks who shoot black & white film. (A bit of burning-in of the center takes care of any uneven lighting typical of very wide angle photos)

The photo "Astoria Bridge" illustrates the incredible potential of this lens. It seemed as if I was standing almost under the bridge! No special burning or dodging was applied.

The glass is clean, the shutter works well, but it has a modest amount of Schneideritis which has been deemed "benign" by Focal Point Camera.
Cambo/Toyo/Omega lensboard and a rear filter holder for 3x3 resin/gel filters.
Front and rear caps included, but No filters included.

$2950 + shipping and insurance.

To clear up a bit of confusion:

The photo's of the bridge are the scanned two halves of a single 8x20 negative.

I know some of you folks are hesitant about Schniederitis despite the fact that Schneider adamantly claims it has no effect on the image. I agree, I've never seen any problems.

Neverless, I'll drop the price to $2750 + shipping and insurance.

I used to fish there for Salmon and Sturgeon growing up, what a lovely place full of tumultuous weather.
