I'd like to thank Ilford for my herniated disk! Having to pack All the old prints and negatives from years of collecting and filing work and work in progress I've decided I need a new strategy. IT'S NUTS! to hold onto all this stuff. Some 17 back breaking cases. If I do get to sleep tonight I'll have dreams of swirling Burgundy and gold boxes with their logos taunting me.

Well I'm not as sore today so my rant has died down a bit. It still seems kind of ridiculous to hold onto stuff that rarely sees the light of day though. Most of it is job related outakes and negatives all of which could be edited way down.
The prints are a different matter. There are boxes and boxes of work prints that if I would print them today would probably look very different. So what do you do? shred them? Keep storing them?
I'm courious what other people do?
jeremy, Come on out and take your pick!!!
Jorge, I'm ready when you are..

Frankly I throw the work prints away......unless I plan to use them for show and tell....no sense on hanging on to crappy stuff.

WHat do you mean you are ready when I am? You owe me a print you promised before you moved....good thing I was not holding my breath.... (then again I am sure some of my "fans" here wished I did.. )

I'm thinking of getting a pet.
Most of mine would be useful for training a puppy on or lining a birdcage.

Hmmm, Bird and doggy poop on my prints. Not sure I could handle that. Probably help some of them.

I think you need to send me your camera so that you are not tempted to make any more negatives and prints in the future.

Oh, and a print or two would be fine as well!

Paul.

Tempting but, you see, I've convinced my wife I'm going to hit it big someday and if I send cameras off she might suspect her retirement is in jeapardy. I need to string her on a bit longer.
