Saving negatives...

I watched moominseans video on YouTube about bleaching your negatives... Or removing the anti-halation layer. I have held on to every negative I have taken since obtaining my first land camera, so today I tried three negatives. It was surprisingly easy, and worked like a charm.

How many of you do this, and can you get satisfactory enlargements done at a pro lab with them? Or scan and print digitally?

Everything thus far has been color, but I want to try some FP3000b soon. Can you make satisfactory contact prints with cleaned negatives?

I clean and store in Print File sleeves most of my pack film negs. Haven't tried taking them to my local pro photo lab. Since they're a breeze to scan I've been doing it myself.

I also have bleached my instant negs. Its a fun thing to do but i have not done it in a while. The 3000b cant actually be bleaced because it uses a different backing. I wish it could as its my favorite instant film.

Can you clean the 3000b negs any other way?

I wonder how the color negs fair when enlarged?

Is an overdeveloped or overexposed negative really *lost* though? I've printed through negatives that looked like bricks and with applicable use of contrast recovered reasonable images from them.

I'm not saying post-bleaching/reduction isn't usable, just throwing it out there that one should not consider these types of negatives lost or, "unprintable" as they say.

Ah, this is not about overexposure but literally about cleaning up negs, ignore me then.

on 3000b you just have to scan the negs part, no way to clean them.
