Is anyone out there aware of a person who would be capable of tutoring me on film photography and developing. I'm a large and medium format shooter. I already develop my work on a regular basis but I would like to learn more. I live in south west Florida so someone in this area would be nice. I would like to learn things like rating film at alternate speeds and why? Better metering, I'm a big fan of the zone system. I would like to learn how to anylize the densities of my negatives so I can develop my personal EI. I take the craft very seriously and I'm willing to travel.
thanks in advance,
D

I have a buddy that I used to shoot with, who recently moved to your part of town and he looked up Clyde Butcher and had nothing but positive things to say about the experience. I can't say what might come of a meeting with Clyde, but I'll bet that it would be both interesting and helpful.

Isn't this the third time in a few days that you've posted this?

No Momus that was the second time, mind your own business as I will keep posting until I find what I'm looking for.

The normal and expected practice here on APUG is to avoid duplicate threads.

Within reason, you can always add a new post to your initial thread, in order to bring it back to near the top of the "New Posts" list.

Thank you for chiming in Matt I appreciate that! It was two threads and they were both quite different.

One of the best people you could ever learn from has offered to come to you to help with what you seek, I'd give Ralph a go if I were you.

I find it more irritating to read'what have you cooked from scratch' postings or 'what is your newest old camera'. How bored are these people?

Thank you Ralph. I have tried to contact you through other avenues but I assume I did something wrong. Would it be possible to come to you? I don't know if it is worth you coming here to sarasota as I have no darkroom and I develop in a jobo, but I'm certainly open to it if you like that option better. I would be quite happy to pay you handsomely for your time.

Start by getting a copy Zone VI workshop. You can get them used for just a couple of bucks . Read the entire book but twice then follow instructions . That will at least get you in the Ball Park
