I just got two Sanders eales an 11x14 UA model and a 16x20 VT2000. I would like to use the VT2000 on an Omega D2VXL with the optional drop table. The slots on the 11x14 are for standard paper sizes of 5x7, 8x10, 11x14 but the VT2000’s slots are weird sizes. They measure 8”, 11”,15”,21”. I cant find a user manual which I assume would explain the slot sizes. The measurements are exact too so you can’t put an 8x10 shoot in the 8” slot. The other thing is I’m going to have to use the top slot and make a side guide if I want to use the easel for 8x10. Other wise I guess I could take the 11x14 easel and set it on top for smaller stuff. My D2XL is great for large prints as I can do 20x30+ on the top table. Maybe I should just continue to use the 11 x14 easel on of my 23CII for 8x10 and smaller. If I do this can I do all the testing on the Besseler then switch to the Omaga for final bigger prints with just a time adjustment if the lens to table height is different.
The other thing I’m working out is how to use the scales accurately. I’m inserting the paper and then sliding to the left as the slots are 1/8” wider that the actual paper length. It appears sanders did not make the scales calibratable. So they are not going to be accurate. I have to use an old peice of paper and mark the margins to get them even.
