Good day all,

I will have a chance to spend two days around the Salton
Sea ( interior southern California for those not familiar
with the geography ), probably late next week.

From what I've seen and read, it looks like it will have lots
of opportunities to shoot run down remnants of the old
resort area glory days.

It's a pretty big place though, so any suggestions of what
areas to aim for would be appreciated.

I'm really hoping that they don't have another big fish die
off. Detritus of man is interesting, millions of smelly dead
fish are another thing...

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Terry

Good offroading in Truckhaven. You can get some interesting photos there.

From Indio/Coachella, go south along the North Shore of the Salton Sea and swing around the south end - the Wildlife Refuge, Niland and Calipatria.

If you get tired of the sea, check out Painted Canyon, out beyond Mecca. Haven't been out there in 30 years or so -- use to be nice...steep canyons, etc.

I would reccomend you taking a look at Perry Manuk's website - www.vivalarevolution.com - he has some very nice work and a gallery dedicated to the area.

I can't offer any personal advice on the location I'm afraid,

Have fun
