I'm pretty new posting here, but decided to take darkroom printing more seriously lately. I got a deal on a beseler 45v-xl with universal 45 head and both color and VC controller. Along with it came some lenses (very good ones) and this curious salthill tri linear alignment tool. The directions are a little blurred out in spots, but it seems to mention a mirror placed in the negative tray. Mine didn't come with a mirror. I'm assuming it's a particular mirror because it says to turn the enlarger light on. Does anyone have any experience with this little device? I can't figure out how it works and I would like to align the enlarger with it if possible. Thanks for any assistance!
