Does anyone know if there is any way to make a salt print without sepia tone or if there is any way to remove the tone, so the print is "pure" black and white?

I did a brief experiment a decade ago using potassium bromide as the salt. I mainly wanted to see if KBr would even work, and it did. As I recall the KBr was faster and also black. You might try to repeat my experiment.
