In Sally Mann's book "Deep South," there is an image in the Georgia section which appears to be a brick fort with a moat. Does anyone know where/what it is? Thanks.

It is on Tybee, I beleive it is Ft. Pulaski but I could be remebering wrong. Just Google on Tybee Is. and you will get the correct info. It is a US. Monumnet/Park.

Would Gary Beasley would be a good source for this info, IIRC Ft. Pulaski is on the mainland side just before you get to Tybee Island...BTW it looks like a great place to shoot and IIRC Gary has displayed some nice work form there.

Indeed that is Fort Pulaski between Savannah and Tybee Island. But not having seen the image I can't verify whats what. There is another older fort nearby in Savannah, Fort Jackson, which has a moat. It dates from Colonial days and is run by a private conservatory. Any chance you can post a link to the image somewhere?
