I'm nobody's royalist, but I feel for the kids, already used to smiling for the people at the side of the road, or for the camera, whether they feel like smiling or not. I can't imagine anybody making Kate's choice of joining that circus.

I tripped over 'PJ' too. You don't get a PJ, you get a pair of them, and you wear them in bed.

What struck me was that the apparent edits are minor, insignificant. They have no effect on the photo in its intended use. So why would you bother to make such little edits anyway? Why are the hands better here than a centimetre further over? Me, I'd put dog-ears and whiskers on all the kids, and say to the press 'Like it or don't - I don't care. If you want a photo, this is it. Today we have whiskers.'

The whole picture is weird, yes royal pictures are always weird, but this is a different level.
Weird hand signals, no rings, Kate looks 10 years younger.

Well King Charles is the head of state in my country, so we have great concern of the well being of future heads of state......and I think there's something suss going on.

UK media is obessed with the Royals, difficult to avoid. Also difficult to believe the Royal PR team didn't scrutinise the photo before releasing it. Wonder when it was taken, there's no leaves on UK trees this time of year.

Just learned the word suss.
So, the poor lady had surgery and probably wants to recover in private...what are people thinking? That she died and they're trying to keep it under wraps? So silly.

Sorry I am still too thick to work out the above means I can't work our what left our not a means and if you meant to leave put the letter "a" then what effect does this have on PJ. It then reads she is not PJ so in that case what does PJ mean. I googled PJ but there didn't seem to be an explanation there. Maybe it is a common US abbreviation but it's not one I have seen

I'm told by a reliable source that the interweb is awash with conspiracy theories to the effect that the hubbub about a poorly edited photo is merely a distraction from a/a couple/several much more scandalous, non-photography related stories!

Thanks, assuming your are right, Yes I understand she is not a photojournalist and of course she did not take the picture, her husband did, according to her but she did make the alterations, again according to her. So is it only PJs who do not make alterations to pictures they take and everyone else makes alterations for what appears to be in this case no real purpose?

That is what has made it news in the context of her recent operation as it has excited interest in case it has been more seriously "faked" to give us a false impression of her present state of health post her operation etc What makes it worse is that the Palace refuses to release the unaltered picture

The whole affair which may well turn out to be inconsequential and almost certainly is in the context of the state of the world right now, has only succeeded in setting " hares running" in the U.K. new media for no good reason

It's a lesson on "How not to handle and release "royalty pictures" and how not to handle the consequences that arise thereof . At least that's is what is seems to be to me

On the basis of in-depth research (reading Icke's wikipedia page) you can maybe discern a slide; he was robbed of his footballing career by arthritis; then he got quite rapidly to the top of sports reporting (Grandstand) but perceived himself as being pushed out of that. Then he lost his job with the BBC when he publicly refused to pay the Poll Tax. That must have left him a bit desperate. At that point, I suspect either his agent said 'Hey David! I know a way you can make a bit of money (and maybe end up President of the USA)!', or maybe he stumbled on a great and terrible secret, that the leaders of the world are really alien lizards in people-suits (which is to say he suffered a breakdown that wasn't treated as a medical problem). Or maybe they really are...
