I used Bergger Fine-Art "Portrait", which is one of the about four diiferent designations I've seen for this paper - all Bergger. The emulsion is allowed to soak into the fibers of COT-320 paper, which gives velvet blacks I haven't seen on any other paper. And since this print was going to be essentially all black, I wanted the best ones I could find

With strong selenium toner it deepens considerably without changing colour beyond a very slight warming - so I did that too.

I forgot to chime in about the three very cool prints I got in the exchange. SOrry I did not do it earlier.

John's print is very expressive. Who said water had no emotion.

Nigel's photograph is full of lines which I love. Makes me want to head down the road.

Grant's photo has a great perspective. They are all fine and will look great on the wall assuming I have the time to mount them.

Thanks folks. I am looking forward to the next. I promise to do a better job of getting things in the mail and will avoid any and all mud puddles.
