Anyone else find it odd, that the members of this "circle of misfits" are prolific posters until it's their turn with the camera, then as soon as it shows up at their residence they are no longer heard from again (theme from "Twilight Zone" playing in the background).

I had the same thought, but since I'm one of them didn't speak out loud .....

Please be forgiving - all us Canadians are mourning the fact that there is not a single Canadian based team in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Although our St. Louis Blues are doing well, so far, it would be nice to see a few Canadian teams in the mix.

In the meantime, no hurry on the camera. Our best seasons are the warm months. So this time next year will be fine.

HE'S ALIVE! HE'S ALIVE!

Sorry folks for keeping the camera so long. I did consider passing the camera on w/o taking my pictures due to other time commitments, but I had a brief window of opportunity, and I seized it. The camera, complete with a new battery, is on its way to Matt. On the other hand, you could say that I did my part to add to the mystique of the travelling camera.

Hurrah !!!

Great that you seized that opportunity, it would have been no fun without your photos.

Thanks for that nice update, Bob

Last night I spent an hour or son wandering through this thread trying to figure out what I was supposed to do when the camera actually arrives.

I've got one question - how do you do a panorama with a chicken wearing polka dots!!??

I figured I'll be re-reading this thread to figure that out when it gets down my way.

Now it really depends what kind of chicken, doesn't it? Bantam, hen or rooster, broiled braised or barbecued... and mostly what kind of dressing?

I have decided on one (1) camera only, the Pentax, loaded with Legacy Pro 100 (Acros 100). My daughter suggested we all shoot 2 photos each, one panorama and one regular with self included in the regular shot, either a flat out selfie or your image worked in as a shadow, reflection, body part, or what ever. The Pentax has a built in pano mask that can be activated on demand then switched back off.

Awright kiddies! Time to set the shooting order-

then home to my dark room for processing and display here. I tried to have the shooting order make sense geographically, hope it works out for you all.
This is your last chance to remain sane, I'm about to notify Sile the gear is on the way. Also, one panorama shot, one regular shot with you included in it any way you can (body part, reflection, whatever). Please write in the included journal, doesn't have to be about the shots, just whatever comes to mind. I've put a fresh battery in the little gem and she's ready to rock-n-roll.

Here's a copy of the instruction manual at Butkus to make sure you can figure out how to use it.

To quote Sile from long, long ago:

"The Eagle has landed".

The camera has made its way to me, and I'm busily leafing through some ideas.

I added the quotes above, because finding anything in this thread is far from easy.

And I realize that there may have been some minor changes as well to the itinerary, but I'm at least sure that the camera came to me from Bob (walbergb) and is to go from me to Fred (flatulent 1).

To be realistic though, we all know that re-quoting will just get buried in the noise as we find something else stupid to talk about.
Like Eagles.
Eagles what attack Kangaroos.
Kangaroos what wear police uniforms.
Policemen who chase eagles to get back said kangaroo because said kangaroo wears police uniform and accompanies policeman walking the beat.

Yes, this kind of stuff really happens here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-36195819

Hi Matt, that's good news !!

For the itinerary, I tried to write down a most up-to-date one, on this thread previous page; I shamlessly quote myself, with correction for current status :

I tried to do a synthesis of the different correcting and adjustments, please correct it yourself if needed !

I think I got cut from the team. I was on the list at one time. Was I booted?
Hadn't seen any emails or PM's in a while so I thought I'd check in. It seems I lost my avatar too. WTF? Otherwise, just still kickin' here... hope all's good with everyone else.

As far as hockey goes, I'll share two words with you: Nashville Predators!

Check the list copied a few messages up. You're still there at no.15. The camera is currently at no.9.

We're at #9 of the list now in about 19 months, so we'll be finished in March 2018?? :wondering:

I'm getting all excited about my turn coming up soon. I've been researching chicken recipes, and I found a great cookbook...
