I'm on my way back to Japan so the camera can be sent my way by whoever has it (sorry, I'm too tired back and look). Send me a pm for my address.

I also hope you enjoyed your stay !

Current "owner" is Dr Croubie, from Australia, I beg your pardon, from SOUTH Australia :D

Allo, Is the Doctor is in ?

Great - I'll send him a pm with my address (I literally just got back home after 3.5 hour flight + 12 hour layover + 10.5 hour flight) - of course my first priority was to turn on the computer and check APUG!

... and second: develop 342 films exposed all over Europe??

107 (I think) - I've never shot so much film on a trip before! Although to be fair, it almost all 120, so that makes a difference for # of frames shot. And for the first time too, not a single roll of colour was exposed, which is strange, even for me.

Anyway, I sent a pm to Dr Croubie, I'm just waiting to hear from him.

Rolls eyes.
On the 5th I flew over Sile's house, she was not in the yard so I did not wave. Another lost opportunity.

tim in san jose

The one day I put my binoculars away..... damit Tim!

Still waiting to hear from the good doctor...

Do you know the way to San Jose?

Well, ya.
Turn out of the parking lot take a left, a right, and Tasman Drive takes me right there. I go right past the new 49ers Stadium. I can be in SJ in about 6 minutes.

tim in san jose (well in Sunnyvale right now)

Yup. From here, take the 10 West 80 miles to the 101 North. Stay on it and in several hundred miles, there ya be!

Hey all, update time!
Yes, i'm still here and alive.

I thought the camera hadn't travelled enough, so I took it on a road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne and back last week/end, chalk up another 1500km to the clock why not.
I had some great pano shots in mind, but unfortunately time/weather/sun/travel didn't coincide in the right way to get what I wanted.
But I got something at least (i probably should have asked earlier whether 'lp' is colour or b+w too).

I've got my selfie shot in mind, which I'll do next week here (I have to do it early morning, and daylight savings starts on sunday, so it'll make sunrise an hour later and easier to get the shot).
So I've got the address of the not-so-loose-anymore-moose in Japan, I should get it posted in about a week or so if it all goes to plan.

Unless you meant the one in Costa Rica...
For that one- ummm, let's see... go south past Mexico and and a ways farther. If you find yourself in Panama, you went too far.

Dare I mention the possibility of Round 11?...:whistling:

That's just strange to think about.. you are just heading into Spring and we're already getting shorter days with winter just around the corner. They've got things all goofed up here so we end DST sometime in November, even though my daughter is already walking to the school bus in the dark in the morning. The days sure change fast this time of year.

I've been eyeing the olympus XA in my closet.... it's my wife's old camera and I was thinking of asking her if it should take a little trip...

An Olympus Trip,even...

From here, take 203 south to 202, head east on 202 to 18, take that to 5, drive about 40 miles to 101 North, drive that 10 miles to 8 west, about 10 miles of that and you're on 12 headed west to Aberdeen, then drive about 1500 miles south on 101 (yes, in WA, 101 does some weird stuff, including having a 60 mile section or so of roadway that's marked East/West - also the only part of 101 where you can travel south and either have the mileposts go up or down - in Oregon, they go up, but don't go back down).

Ned, I'm shocked ... only a XA and not even a traveling pinhole camera in there somewhere ???
Ha! Yes there is a lot of other stuff in there besides the XA :D
Although after all this time, I still don't have any pinhole camera that uses film ( not counting instant film )... they all use paper and all are 1-shot. A traveling pinhole camera would be fun.

I can make another Agfa Clack into a pinhole camera?

Go for it!

It was never going to work, was it?
I waited 2 weeks for the weather gods to smile on me to get the shot that I wanted. Got out of bed early to get in position.
Framed and walked around to get the best shot.
Took the shot just as the sun was breaking through the clouds in the right way

And the damn flash went off.
I obviously haven't used an automatic camera (film nor digital) in many many years, didn't think about the flash.
So if you're lucky, you'll get a rather thin shot with maybe a reflection of a flash in the middle.
At the very least, now I can get this thing posted once I've written in the book.

I noticed that the box seems to have been the same one for a few hops, are we trying to keep the box the same the whole way? If not, I can replace it with a nice new shiny sturdy one, this one's getting a bit rough on the edges...

Depending on what the subject was, and distance to slash, it may not have an effect on the image. As to the mailing box, it would be awesome to see all the tags from around the world, but not as important as getting the gear to the next party safely. If you feel the bow has gotten flimsy, feel free to replace it.

Can you use a new box, but include a representative portion of the old inside (for the history)?

Or just put the old box into a new one.

Guys,
You're all a bit box fixated!
You'd better see a good therapist: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
