Of course, you will have to travel with it in a wooden crate as we don't have much of a budget. Is that ok? We can put a couple of cushions in there.

Steve.

ISTR some crazee performance artist actually did that and had themselves mailed to their gallery ....

Steve.

Gee Steve you're too kind.. a couple of cushions huh? How about an air hole?

Does that mean we would have to push Sile's buttons to operate it? Oh Yeah!
Absolutely Rick.. just remember that my buttons are operated by good food and good wine and rely on those air holes.....

You're Irish, so not just a bottle of Greenspot or so?? Or are you more like a "Clurichaun"?

Maybe we should do a "go fund me" so Sile can circumnavigate the globe with a camera, call it "Around the world in 180 days" or some such thing. We all sign on to host her for one week and take her to our favorite spot for a photo. It would be neigh on to impossible to lose her, and we would get done sooner than two years.

In the 1970s, an Australian working at a UK airport posted himself back to Australia in a crate as he couldn't afford the fare.

Steve.

Steve.

To make it more interesting, let's make the crate into a pinhole camera and get Síle to operate the shutter. If we put in a small dark room and a scanner too, she can post the results during transport, so she won't get bored ...

If Sile travels with the camera, will any of us want to stop the camera from moving on?

Only the holes will get bored?

Not at all. She can write in the journal!

Ah here now!

I turn my back for one minute (ok maybe a week) and suddenly I'm trapped in a pinhole camera travelling the world without ever getting to leave my dark cell and see anything or anyone!!

Oh ok then.. who's building the box??

You'll see quite a bit of the world ... that is if you'll fold yourself head down in the box, for all pinhole images will be upside down.

Oh ok then.. who's building the box??
If folded what are your sizes, please?

I'm sensing a small light leak situation with that box...

What camera?!!!

Steve.

Note to Rick:
You can quietly & safely remove Steve form the mailing list in this round.
It will save us another six months in this round and he won't notice it anyway.:whistling:
I'll send him a post card instead ....

I'm on my way back to Japan so the camera can be sent my way by whoever has it (sorry, I'm too tired back and look). Send me a pm for my address.

I hope you enjoyed your stay in Europe and I'm looking forward to all the images you made.
