Round 9 was fun so I see no reason why round 10 should not ... is there still a seat to be taken in round 10? Then I would be up for it.

OK, I should have read through the full thread. I see this party is already full.

Maybe the next time.

then home to my dark room for processing and display here. I tried to have the shooting order make sense geographically, hope it works out for you all.
This is your last chance to remain sane, I'm about to notify Sile the gear is on the way. Also, one panorama shot, one regular shot with you included in it any way you can (body part, reflection, whatever). Please write in the included journal, doesn't have to be about the shots, just whatever comes to mind. I've put a fresh battery in the little gem and she's ready to rock-n-roll.

I'm last on the list
You can make test shots every day until then to perfect your vision and composition! We'll expect your contribution to be an earthshaking masterwork that will redefine what photography means forever. The rest of us will just throw all our gear in the trash, since there will be no point in exposing film after that...

or I guess we could just wake you up when the time comes

In my dreams! Judging by the last round, it seems we have a whole bunch of SUPREMELY TALENTED photographers in this round.

But yeah - bring it on!!

Wow - 18 photographers and a roll of 36. Rick: I admire you for your optimism! Seems obvious, I know, but we had a couple of shooters who forgot the very simple two-shot rule the last round. No room for error this round!

Just in case I get bumped off this roll after two years of waiting because someone didn't pay attention, I'm preparing several voodoo dolls while I wait for the camera.

Ok. Can you shoot 18 panoramic and 18 regular shots on a roll of 135? What is the format of the panos? The film is Fuji Acros 100. That should be interesting.

The panorama feature is a mechanical mask that moves into place when it's switched on, partially covering the negative. We get 36 exposures on the roll, 18 normal, 18 pano. BTW, Elvis has left the building, and is swimming the Atlantic on it's merry way to Sile in Ireland.

Sorry, Rick - the Pentax is not Elvis.

With Elvis, it surely has to be a Leica or Hassy, minimum.

I'm glad since now it won't be "dead on arrival"?

So the question is... What is the format of the film in panoramic??

The mask moves in from the top and bottom, the frame remains 36mm long but only around 18mm high instead of 24x36mm. You will be able to see what you are shooting in the view finder, it masks to match the frame.

It's funny Tim, when somebody says engineer, I think of my grand dad who drove a steam engine for the PRR, never my uncles who were EE's and ME's and a cousin that's a CE, don't ask me why.

Bummer... I was away too long and missed a round. In the future, please count me in for any and/or all cameras on their journey around the globe. I've not had a mid-life crisis yet, so with that math in my favor I should be available for a few more decades at least. Feel free to send me a PM or email. It works, even if I'm not online much.
If there's still room as a reserve on #10, count me in. Otherwise, I'll jump back in on #11.

Cheers!

Camera 10 is already moving, but be assured that you will get a shot on #11.

The Eagle has landed.. Repeat.. The Eagle has landed!

The most incredible rain started this morning and is due to last for a few days.. I'll be watching the forecast and as soon as it changes I'll try to get out and get my shots so we can get the camera moving again as fast as possible!

And so the madness begins once again.. Oh how I've missed this.. :w00t:
