Any info on this lens type or age? 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 projecting on wall seems to have much more coverage that stated....has slot for stops is in barrel

thanks

Your lens is a rapid rectilinear, probably about 11" f7. It should cover whole plate with some movements, but be careful since the sphere of illumination is much larger than the sphere of sharpness. Should make for a great 5x7 portrait lens open wide, and will just cover 8x10 sharply stopped down a bit. Remarkably sharp stopped down considering its age, and usually have wonderful bokeh.

Dave, If you liked (there was a url link here which no longer exists) in the other discussion, the lens you have may be a good candidate. The bad corners defocused is what caused most of that. On formats larger than the advertised these lenses should / may do the same thing. I have a beautiful old Voigtlander that I intend to play with today on the 8X10. It's also a full plate lens I think.
