Rome NY April 5

I'm hosting a photo walk at the Rome Sand Plains, west of Rome NY, on Sunday, April 5, 2009.

It might be too early in the season for flowers and butterflies, but I am hoping to obtain interesting landscapes. I'll be shooting MF. Important gear would be a tripod and waterproof boots.

The walk will be guided by a local forestry expert.

Anyone in the area is welcome to attend this free event. Let me know.

I won't be able to make it, but I wasn't aware of the Sand Plains area before. Looks like a very interesting place. Hope you have a great day.

Due to snow conditions we never made it to the Sand Plains last week. Instead we covered a scenic area north of Utica.

If any of you have plans to visit the Sand Plains I can give you contact info for the local forestry guide.
