I am selling a black Rolleiflex SL35 35mm SLR body. The camera appears to be usable, but the condition is fair.
The shutter works at all speeds and sounds right. The viewfinder is clean (a few minor dust specks). The X flash sync has been tested and it works. The meter is working and accurate when used with 1.3 V batteries (I tested it). The frame counter is not working, so one must keep track of how many shots one has fired after loading (I do this all the time on older cameras - a minor annoyance at worst). The self timer does not work.
Cosmetically the camera is in fair condition with the usual brassing that black finished cameras all pick up over time. There is a noticeable, but small ding on the baseplate.
Why own this camera? Ans. Some of the lenses made for the SL353 are phenomenal: Zeiss, Schneider, Voigtlander, and other notable makers, and the prices for them are often modest (for what they are).
