Hi all,
It seems that my rolleiflex's sportsfinder focusing mirror isn't sitting at the correct angle to the focusing screen.
I always found it difficult to get sharp focus with the sportsfinder in the past, but I just figured it was due to the dim focusing screen and the mirror being covered with 50+ years of grime. However, focusing isn't any better after having replaced the focusing screen with a brighter Oleson Brightscreen and giving the mirror a gentle clean. If anything, the microprism spot on the new focusing screen helped me figure out the issue.
After the front part of the sportsfinder is clicked down into place, it comes forward just a little bit, and brings the mirror out of alignment - darkening most of the microprism spot and making focusing nearly impossible.
Before I remove the viewfinder to investigate and risk scratching the focusing screen (again), is there a known adjustment for the mirror angle?
I've included a few images to better illustrate the issue. The first image is how the focusing screen looks when the mirror is clicked into place and allowed to come forwards under spring pressure. The second image is how it looks when I hold the mirror down at a better angle.

Thanks in advance!
