Anything on shopgoodwill that is easily recognizable and has perceived value ends up going for far more than it's worth. Even then, people still thing they are getting a bargain because 'it's goodwill'... I learned to assume it isn't working and bid accordingly.

I've stopped looking on their site for deals and unfortunately, they've stopped putting anything in the stores that might be worth more than $20.

The Rollei end at $1,051. I hope the buyer is happy! At worst, though, send it to Harry Fleenor and drop another $300-500, and it's still less than many of the 2.8 Planars I've seen on eBay.

As for the Leica, perhaps a collector/repairman is taking a shot at it. Do their own CLA (if they have the skills) and have a nice camera afterward. As for the meter, that looks more like dirt to me. The top was pretty dirty.

I am very happy with my 2.8C Planar - Harry serviced it and put in a Maxwell screen for me. Best purchase I've made in years.
