This is one beautiful camera. It has just had a CLA from Bill Moerz and has a !!!!MAXWELL SCREEN!!!! Bill also installed new bellows in addition to the CLA. Cosmetically, it is just beautiful. Excellent Condition.I just don't use it enough to justify my ownership and I'd really like to see someone enjoy it. I believe it is from 1953. Serial #1260494 Comes with cap, hood, and two filters (series 6), red and yellow. I will also include 4 rolls of fresh Fomapan 100. I have around 300 bucks in the Maxwell screen. It is BRIGHT!! $1,250.00

Yes, there are bellows on the inside that you can’t see. They are notorius for going bad.

Bellows?

Beautiful camera BTW -- the best of the Rolleiflexes.

why do you think it's the best of the Flexes? I suppose you mean the C model in comparison to say D/E/F. How come so? C and D seem quite similar.
Or do you mean the 2.8 vs. the 3.5?

The C was the last Rolleiflex with a ten-leaf diaphragm, giving a rounder aperture. And I prefer the simpler models like the C, without meters. I mean, any Rolleiflex TLR is great. But I prefer the C.

According to my investigation...the C model lens is a Schneider Xenotar as opposed to D, E, F models with Carl Zeiss planar. The difference is debated it seems.

Rolleiflex 2.8 and 3.5 E and F models were sold with both Planar and Xenotar lenses. The 1980s and 1990s 2.8 GX bodies had Planar lenses made by Rollei.

Some models of the 2.8C were said to have had a Planar, but all I've seen myself have been made with the Schneider Xenotar. The Xenotar 80/2.8 is not a lens to disparaged by any means however. In my experience the the Xenotar is simply an incredible performer - it delivers stunning results!

The 2.8C and perhaps some other early 2.8 Rolleiflex models do have an internal light baffle that resembles (I am told) a bellows. These often deteriote over time and cause light leaks. Replacement parts are not that easy to find these days. I had a 2.8C CLA'd not too long ago and my tech replaced this assembly with a spare he obtained from another repair shop. Resourceful techs seem to find solutions! The fact that the seller's repair tech replaced the bellows shows he's up on nuanced issues of old 2.8C's.

This camera is a real beauty BTW and well worth the asking price!
