My wife found this one at an estate sale, but I am not familiar with them. I think she paid $15 for it. I looked inside and I guess it uses 120 film.

A Rolleicord for $15, what a find. Wonderful camera.

A Rolleiflex has a crank that advances the film and cocks the shutter. With the Rolleicord, you wind a knob to advance the film and then have to cock the shutter with a lever on the front of the camera. It's slower. However, I knew a guy who made a million bucks with a Rolleicord.

I didn't make any money but many of my best images were made with a Rolleicord.

Astrid Kirchherr also used a Rolleicord for those early photos of the Beatles in Hamburg. If your Rolleicord is in good working condition, you probably got the deal of the year.

Great googlymoogly. Don't know what it is? It's complete junk, and probably infected with plague too. Send it to and I'll boil it for you for free. :D

J/K, great camera if it's in good shape. Even if it needs a good CLA you'd still have a great camera for well less than it would be worth. Harry Fleenor is the usually recommended expert on these cameras (you can google his website) but others are certainly capable of doing a good job on them as well.

If it works or is in semi-decent condition. I've picked up a couple Rolliecords through the years for between $20 and $30 (and passed on a few mildewed or scratched cloudy-lenses others) but they did need lots of work and some have remained shelf pieces/paper weights...

Thanks for all the info, and the website. It seems to be working ok shutter, f stop and has a spool. I have plenty of 120 B&W and color in the freezer. Many of the cameras I get are headed to my old camera display, but this one may get some use. From looking at the website it appears to be close to this one.

I have Rolleicord II and it is a beautiful portrait machine.

Love. My. Cord.

I put a shutter release on it, zone focus, then wear it around the neck and shoot without looking when someone looks at it. Lighter than the Leica I tried to love, people smile when they see it, super quiet. Gotta load it up and take it out again.
