Hi everybody
I'm back from a short vacation at the beach, during which I brought with me, as medium format cameras, a Rolleicord Vb and a Zeiss Ikonta (for the small format I brought a Leica IIIf).
As for the film, I took a bit of a leap in the dark, instinctively switching from my usual Fomapan 100 to the Kentemere Pan 100. I didn't have time to test the new film before leaving; therefore, I was curious (and even a little worried, actually) to see the result. Back home, I developed the two rolls with Kodak HC-110 developer in 1+31 solution, with slow and continuous stirring for 6 minutes.
Well I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the rendering of this film: it has a beautiful grain, it is soft and contrasted at the right point; maybe it's a bit flat in the transition of tones and shadows, but all in all it's ok.
Basically, a film that I find suitable for delicate photography, for fine palates who don't like the contrasts (exaggerated, personal opinion) to which contemporary photography has accustomed us.
Below I leave you some shots of my short vacation, so that you can get an idea. I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks for your attention, AD
