A possible source for a replacement part is an old folder. The Compur Rapid was a common shutter. It was usually on more 'upscale' models so possible cameras might be more expensive than others. And there is always the chance that the escapement changed from version to version. You want to look for lenses f/3.5, not 2.8. And 35mm cameras, also, like this Kodak Retina. This can be a tricky game, a way to discover slight variations in designs and manufacturing, but an idea if you can find a trasher.

I've rebuilt a couple of escapements, remounting the springs and such, and my life will be better if I never do it again. What a pain... double stick tape, small blocks to hold things in place, stop things from unwinding, etc.

I think it's referencing the other spring? I'm still pretty confused as to the function of the coil spring that popped out on mine, since all my timings are identical to previous, it's either been unhooked since I came into possession of this camera (I have no clue about its history), or the spring does nothing

The second paragraph of Notes addresses both springs.

This may also help for the retard mechanism issue depicted in post #12. See page 23

I would not euthanize a working and respectable camera for the sake of a repair
"Camera is worn but in working condition"
"Camera in excellent working conditions, all its functions accurate"

If the higher speeds are slow ... lightly loosen the top screw of the retard escapement ... lightly loosen the bottom screw, and push the bottom end outward (away from the inside of the shutter). This will make the retard have a shorter engagement time. Tighten screws and check speeds ... note, that you probably have to do this multiple times to get it right.

This will also affect the engagement time for longer (slower) shutter speeds.

Possibly. Moving the top of the escapement adjusts the timing of the slow speeds ... so it is a balancing act getting both top and bottom in the right place. The last time I did this it took about 10 times with very light movements until I got all the speeds within +- 1/3 of a stop.
