NO, NO, NO, etc.
And there's no mess in there.
They are both companies/brands that get their stock from 3rd parties.
Both RPX400 and APX400 are CUSTOM emulsions coated at Harman Technology Ltd. facilities in the UK.
This has been said time after time in this forum.
Just do a search.

It has been said here by Simon more than once. Was this revealed to you by Harman, AgfaPhoto, or Maco?
It has been said here by Simon more than once.
In fact, this morning in another thread I posted a bunch of links to Simon's posts.
(there was a url link here which no longer exists)
It answers your questions. Thanks, I remember the posts linked when originally written by Simon. None, however, answers my question to you.
It seems to me that it is just some people that can't read or do a search.I recall that when Simon regularly visited APUG and gave us llford's position, few if any questioned his statements or Ilford's integrity. I wonder if we'd have got into this kind of argument then?
Another good reason why Pemberstone might want to have more of a presence here that is currently the case.
I might be wrong but I sense a "chipping away" in terms of our belief in Harman now we hear less of the Harman/Pemberstone voice.

I find it very insulting that some question statements made in good faith by people of good character.
No, it doesn't change anything if you think about it.Problem is, that person of good character is no longer with the company, which has been bought out by another corporation. That changes EVERYTHING.
More accurately: one person of good character is no longer with the company. Another corporation has bought the company but several former Harman executives remain and I don't think we can yet say whether the new company will affect a change for the better or worse or leave the Harman ethos unchangedProblem is, that person of good character is no longer with the company, which has been bought out by another corporation. That changes EVERYTHING.
There isn't a problem in asking questions, provided one can't find the answer.
No, it doesn't change anything if you think about it.
The films in question were introduced some years ago and their formulation hasn't changed, or have they?
"New Emulsion" APX400 was introduced Summer of 2013 and RPX400 a few years earlier.
There was a gentleman (Henning?) who scientifically tested RPX400 and K400.
They are different.
I don't think so.
I know of the 2 versions.you do realise they were two version of the RPX400 film? Plus there is Fotoimpex CHM 400, claimed by Fotoimpex to be Kentmere.
And what about all the RC papers made by Harman: Kentmere VC Select, ADOX Easy Print, Tetenal TT Vario Format, Bergger Prestige RC, Imago Photographic RC VC - all different emulsion? I don't think so.
That says everything.Only the execs at Harman and the companies who market these different products know what's what - and, for obvious reasons, they aren't telling.
The rest is pure speculation.

No, not here, and not in English. But no one said they were the same emulsions?
