Well all I can say to you Andrew to help this thread along is: "Why don't you go and live in Manitoba - a much more sensible place and to Fraunhofer who lives on the East Coast is that I have never understood why everyone doesn't live on the West Coast.

If I can think of more help I can give both of you in respect of Rollei IR Processing I will of course contribute again but hopefully this is enough to be going on with :D

I grew up in Saskatchewan, the prairie province just left of "Man it's cold out". Its capital city is, Winterpeg

Winterpeg- I like that and have to say that in terms of information it is probably more useful than my recommendation on Rollei IR :D Frankly in temperate U.K. I am surprised that anyone in mid Canada ever emerges alive at the end of each winter. :D

Rye Whisky (aka Canadian Whisky) may also play a role.

What is this thread about again?
I am never sure at what point a thread becomes largely exhausted in terms of useful pertinent contributions and is then open for some humour. Talk of Winterpeg and winters in mid Canada plus whisky reminds me of the joke involving the newly arrived Scot being met at the railway station by a Canadian. It is midwinter and snow has been falling for hours when the Scot gets off the train to be met by the Canadian. With snow shoes which he has never seen before he and the Canadian trudge slowly through snow the depth of which the Scot has never seen. Suddenly out of the trees a large animal looking a bit like a blanket on four legs wanders towards them. The Scot is clearly worried about the size of the creature and the Canadian on seeing this, tries to reassure him, saying " Don't worry, Jock, that's only a Moose. The Scot replies: " A Moose ! Then let's hope we don't come across one of your rats "

That would have been my dad arriving here in '59 at the age of 18, from the Highlands of Scotland!
