Rollei A26?

In a box of goodies purchased the other day I found a Rollei A26 - one of the stranger designs I have seen in awhile, but definitely pretty neat. I bought some 126 film from JandC and loaded it up. But how do I figure out if the light meter is working?

Anybody have any experience with these things?

You may find some help on the sites of the various Rollei Clubs. Unfortunately I can't remember and possibly it took a mercury battery. What I do recall is that it has a unique dedicated flashgun that clips on to the side. This has built in rechargeable batteries and originally a charger came with the outfit but often this is missing these days.
