Rollei 6008i with Schneider Varigon 75-150 tripod question

I have this combination which is working well for my current project (weight/size aside).

But if I attempt to use the tripod mount on the underside of the lens with the Rollei quick shoe the camera body cannot be mounted because the screw knob is in the way. Am I missing something here? It's as if the tripod foot is made the wrong way round.

I'd prefer to use the lens mounted tripod attachment because it will balance better and put less strain on the lens mount.

Any insight appreciated!

I soon found out that the tripod foot had been mounted incorrectly when the lens was recently serviced. It all makes sense now that it is facing the right way round!
