Hello would like to get members opinions of this camera in good condition with 2 lenses, the 80mm f2.8 PQS and the 50mm f4 HFT. I understand there might be reliability problems, however the camera is mint from a seller i bought from before. It comes with the two lenses mentioned. Would an ebay DIY battery pack from china extend the life of the camera, therefore shooting more exposures per charge? This might be a chance to get started in a system quickly. I would just need to add a tele for a complete outfit.

This is the 6006 mark 1.

I have read an older thread here on the 6006.

Hi, I have Rollei 6008 Professional with those lenses. You anyhow can't use the real power of PQS lens with 6006, i.e. 1/1000 sek shutter speed, but it will work as PQ lens. Planar is Planar. Point. Distagon 50 f4 is a very good lens. Depending on your budget Sonar 150 f4 can be good choice. With lenses check filter thread. EL lenses use 67mm standard instead of Bay VI mount, construction is exactly the same.
It might be be reliability problems, but I think not more often than with other cameras. I do not have problems. Battery life is for me OK. Approx. 400 shots (6008) with a battery makes 30 rolls of film. If You by an insert for battery pack I'm not sure how it will work with the old charger. Big capacity replacement pack is NiMH and original battery is NiCd.

I bought a mint version 1 Rollei 6006 about a year ago. A great camera that has worked well these past 12 months. Absolutely no electronic or mechanical problems. I also have the 80mm F2.8 Planar (not PQS), a 150mm F4.0 sonnar and the 50mm F4. The camera came with the stock battery which gives me about 400 shots/charge like Doktor's 6008. My only complaint is that focusing can be a bit difficult, especially with the 80mm (long focus throw). I can't offer any help regarding other batteries.

Rollei bat

My NiMH batteries seem to recharge just fine with the Rollei chargers. I had them rebuilt at a local battery store for $40 using 1100 amp/hr cells. I know there are higher capacitys available, but these match up with the carger and I am not sure about the others. And I love the 6006. It fits my style of working. I have the 80 HFT and the 150 Rolleigon which in my opinion is the equal of any Sonnar

There are 3 types of Rollei chargers N, G and C. The one with discharge cycle is the C one. C charger was packed with 6008 AF model. Charger that comes with 6006 and SLX is G charger. N charger comes with 6008. Difference can is only inside box (i hope there is a difference ), chargers look exactly the same. I don't know what is the accu for 6006. 6008 battery is marked 10V, T 1,25A Slow acting.
