Hello, I am new to this forum. Last year I purchased a nice black Rollei 35 S to replace one I used to have 20 years ago, but it has a couple minor problems:

The shutter button has always been hard to press, even with a soft release button attached. It works but is hard enough not to engage with a cable release. It seems harder than I remember, but I don't have another one to compare it to. Is there a way to improve it?

The meter is accurate at the 50 ASA setting for a 100ASA film. I have read that the half of the hole in the meter arm should be visible at the 1/2 second and f/8 at 100 ASA setting. On mine, it has to be set to 1/4 sec. to achieve that. I guess it has to do with adjusting either the aperture or speed wheel in some way. How do I adjust it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

Michael

I haven't used my 35S in a while, but I don't remember the shutter being hard to press. So my guess is that your Rollei needs repair.
