11x14" American Optical (1890s) with two S&S holders and two Hoffman holders. I still need to fix a few things on the camera before I can use it efficiently, so I've only been using it occasionally. Usually using the 10" WF Ektar, 12" Dagor, 360mm Heliar, 14.5" Verito, 19" Apo-Artar. Printing for now on regular enlarging paper, but eventually I'll get set up to cut down Azo to 11x14".

Just started using it but:

1) 11x14 Burke & James and 18" f/4 Verito.

2) I generally print on Centennial POP but plan to do some 11x14 Van Dyke Brownprints in the format this summer.

3) I also have a smaller 11x14 ROC that now sits idle (as well as an 8x20 Korona in need of a new bellows). In addition to the 18" Verito I have the Verito 22 1/4" extension element, 210 Angulon and 24" Artar which I haul around. I have several other process lenses for the rig that sit on the shelf including a 480 Nikon and 21 1/4 Copying Ektanon.

1A. Wisner 14x17 Trad. with 14x17 and 7x17 backs. S+S and Wisner holders. 16.5" Dagor is my most used lens on these formats right now, and have just started trying a 405 Kodak Portrait on the rig as well.
1B. Wisner 20x24 back and holders with home made adapter to use them on the Polaroid. (most people get a polaroid back for their conventional camera, I went the other way)
2. Azo lately, but building exposure unit to return to Alt. Proc. as well. Cyanotype/Gum/PP
3. Bergger BPF 200 (rated at 80) tray developed in HC110 for 7x17, 14x17, and 20x24.

Addition to above: Developer Pyrocat-HD in trays or a 16x20 unicolor drum depending on the amount of film or my mood. Currently, I print almost exclusively in Pd/Pt.

12x16. 360 Symmar, 18" APO-Lustrar, various dumpster concoctions. Paper negs to date.

Both the plate holders I have leak light, and I'm too busy practicing my chops in 4x5 to really get to grips with repairing/replacing them. When I do, I dream of ressurecting Autochromes.

11x14 Burke & James with 210 Computar, 355 G-Claron, 450 Nikkor-M, and 22" Dallmeyer Petzval. I have two borrowed filmholders and a massive 1890s studio stand.

I have only recently gotten the camera into good working condition (registering the gg, fitting lenses to board), and up to now I have been shooting Lith film for testing, but plan on shooting my first sheets of Efke 100 today. Sometime this summer I will begin the real project of 11x14 tintype portraits.

Lenses. 180 Protar V, 210 Computar, 240 Computar, 270 Computar, 300 Computar, 450 Nikkor M, 600 Fujinon C and 750 Red Dot Artar.

Films. Favorite is FP4+ and HP5+, but also use Efke PL100 and JandC 200 and 400. Use also JandC 200. Actually my favorite film is TMAX 400 but I don't have any for ULF.

Am moving this year from 8 x 10 to 7 x 17 and 14 x 17, am making adaptor back for the 14 x 17 to accept the 7 x 17 back for some verticles,
355 G Claron, 450 Fugi, 760 nikkor process lens... but have to put it on a board soon....have spent several months "playing around" with the camera and getting used to the format...beginning a project just as soon as this semester is over which is NOW....also I got 2 extra film slides from Sandy and am going to modify them to give me two shots on the 14 x 17.....(8.5 x 14).....1.64 ratio.

Dave,

I want to mention a potential problem with using dark slides that are not full size. Assume, for example, that you divided the slides so as to be able to make two 7X17 exposures on one sheet of 14X17" film. Well, when you insert a dark slide that covers only half of the light trap area you leave the other half completely open because you have in effect pushed the entire length of the light trip down. This makes fogging very likely if you don't take care to keep the side of the film holder completely protected from light when you do this. Just think about what happens.

To avoid the problem Sandy mentions, make the darkslide mask an L-shape so that it covers the whole light trap. It should look like this--

http://www.benderphoto.com/4x10pa.htm

I made one for two 4x10's in an 8x10 holder from a cracked darkslide and it works perfectly.

Hi from down under. Formats: 11x14 and 8x20 in ULF. Lenses: 355 G Claron, a 420mm Rodenstock Imagon for the 11x14, 450M Nikon, 21 1/4 Kodak Anastigmat, 760 Nikkor Process. The usual suspects for printing. Azo, amidol and Pyrocat HD (the holy trinity). 8x20 filmholders are from Lotus view camera (6 of them, works of art all). 11x14 holders 6 Korona and 4 Graflex(?). Cameras are both Koronas but bastardized by stripping the old wobbly frames and mounting them on a Sinar P system. More stuff would always be nice but if I'm honest and content this is all I'll ever need- but then there's the Artars, etc.. Film is standardized to Efke PL100 and PL25. I agree with Sandy about TMax and I use it on the 8x10.

8x20 Korona - 1 (so far) B&J holder.
I use a 300mm Dagor & 450mm Nikkor M probabaly 50/50 on the lens use.
I just fnished the last of my Bergger 200 so now I am moving on to Efke PL100 so all my large formats will be on the same film. Print on Azo and Pd mostly Azo right now.

Thanks Sandy and Dave.

I was thinking of cutting the film slides the other direction to approx 8.5 x 14.....it would actually be smaller than that , say 8 x 13....I was thinking of cutting them like a mat,,,,with 1/2 to 1 inch all around....one holder would expose the left side of the frame and have the cut out start one inch in from the slide pull handle....and the other would expose the right side, the cut out starting say 8.5 inches in from the slide pull handle....including the full slide it will that 3 slides to do this.

With a big enough IC shouldn't have to shift too much to find the sweet spot, I hope? or maybe not necessary at all to shift? I am going to skip church today and put the lenses on the camera and see how much usable shift I have...

Thanks again

Greg I would like to see that one,

I guess Sandy has built quite nice 20 x 24 from the photos seen...I have attempted but am bogged down a bit, got some good belows from Dagor77 and have the front standard..but then it gets a little shakey for my abilty.

I often visit Carmi Illinois (family farm area) and drive over to the Louisville airport.
