The following 2 years, I want to use only 1 film and dev. for 35mm (creating a standard)
Except for situations where I really need another film.

My choice is TriX with Rodinal. But what dilution and agitation method should I use? With a 2 minute presoak?
Normally I agitate 6 times the first minute and then 5 seconds every 30 seconds)

My target is nice grain, tonality and sharpness.
What are your times?

Times in the temporary chart I have at the moment for TriX@320 are 10,5 to 12 minutes...

Anohter question: is there a big difference between 1+25 and 1+50 (grain)

The greater the dilution, the "better" the grain. Same applies for agitation ... less is more. Dilution will also affect contrast, so you have to account for that. See this thread for what pushed TX in Rodinal looks like... really nice.

Clay: I like Rodinal grain at the dilution, too. It's a flexible developer, so different looks are possible.

TriX in Rodinal can give you a whole gamma of looks fdepending on several process variables:
- Dilution: The more you dilute Rodinal the smaller the "clumps" of silver, thus the smaller the grain
- Agitation: The less you agitate the longer the tonal scale
- Perversion: adding vitamin C (ascorbate) to Rodinal 1+50 allows you to use the 1+25 times and get finer grain than 1+50

IMHO TriX in Rodinal when exposed as 200 is a thing of beauty, at 400 it gets grainy, but gets a nive look rather than a grainy look.
