Very interesting chart. I can't say that matches my experience, but I can't objectively measure anything without a densitometer.

Michael, are these curves for Rodinal 1:50? With no agitation? It seems the highlights are overdeveloped.
Does this suggest that stand developing with Rodinal is best done with a dilution 1:100 or even 1:200 to prevent overdevelopment of the highlights?
Would there still be no increase in shadow speed?

The three stop push in rodinal looks pretty good imho. I imagine the grain structure is quite pronounced in that case.

Re the curves in post 26 for stand development in Rodinal 1:100, I believe the curves for stand development in Rodinal 1:50 would fall above those for the 1:100 and be steeper.
So for stand development at 1:50 the printed highlights would be blank white but the mid and lower tones would print with higher contrast if that is acceptable.
A 60 min stand would be close to developing to finality or gamma infinity as it is known, similar to a procedure mentioned in the 1930s.

If the Rodinal was very dilute, say 1+200 could you expect to not suffer the extra contrast?

I don't know; but if you dilute, you need to develop longer - could there be same effect? How would dilution be the magic bullet?

Maybe somebody just try this Take a photograph for example against light with person as a dark figure and see what happens to the contrast; do the highlights exhaust and lower the contrast? What happens to the edges?
