It's times like that I sometimes wish I was closer to Rochester.

That, and being able to come by your house and hanging out!

An announcement!

Well, the TPHS meeting is winding down. I just got back from the vendor show and spent a pleasant time with Grant Haist and his wife along with two other old time Kodak friends.

While there, I got a preannouncement of Grant's new book which will be out sometime in the next year or so. This book was started in the 80s at the request of Kodak management and is just now being finished due to the huge amount of research required to finish it properly.

Here is a copy of the cover. I have several pages of excerpts, courtesy of Grant that I could preview here if there is any interest.

IDK who the publisher will be nor do I know when it will be finished. They had sample pages and illustrations there at the meeting and gave me the front and back covers along with several tables of cameras and the TOC. All in all about 6 pages, I think.

Very interesting lectures. But I wouldn't pay 95$ admission even if it was here in town,.

Yea. I would have liked to hear the content of a few of them myself.
In fact, I even contacted one speaker (Robert Shanebrook) two weeks ago but still have no response....
(I will never understand teachers who are reluctant to teach, esp. with students who really care about what teachers have to say!
Oh well....)

95$ is a lot, but, well, some people just have more "disposable wealth" than others...
That is one thing nice about a list such as this... pretty much anyone can attend and participate! The millionaire and the homeless man might be talking about Dye Transfer emulsons and have little knowledge of the others power, poverty. Ah, personal experence

No, 95$ isn't peanuts... But if you were in town, I'd be more likely to want to hear what you had to say!

Frankly speaking.

Update:
I heard back from the speaker.

There does not appear to have been any record made of the talks nor their detailed contents....
