Hi John,

Good luck with your sale. Just wanted to ask you if the Cafenol brew from roasted beans gives out an awful smell when washing soda is added to it. The few times I tried Cafenol with the locally available blend of Robusta-Arabica beans, the smell was unbearable. But it subsided when I added a bit of Sulphite. Interestingly, Cafenol with instant coffee produced no awful smell.

I guess it smells a little, like when I use instant it used to smell. I'm just used to it maybe?

Oh, I forgot to mention Development Times, as the old joke goes "until you can't stand the smell".

well, I drink a little, black, every time I roast it. im not a master roaster and I don't think I would suggest you buy it to drink
but, who knows you might like these beans.. as long as you have very low expectations
