Road and Track in Black and White...

The Aug/Sept 2024 issue of Road and Track is dedicated to Black and White imaging. Plenty of film generated images in the issue, though I suspect a lot of digital look-alike imagine too.
Joshua Paul, pictured below with his Graflex 4x5 SLR, is one of the contributors to the magazine.

Is there a lens on that Graflex? I don't see one...

It appears that an empty lens board is mounted in the front.

Yes there is a lens, you can see it in other pictures. The lens is recessed, might be a singlet or doublet. No leaf shutter; focal plane.
