Ricoh Singlex TLS exposure meter switch

Hello,

I bought on ebay this sweet old camera in pretty nice condition (except for foam light seals). One person said that when exposure meter is set to "ON", camera winded and exposure button is pushed, then exposure meter switch should go "OFF" automatically. Is this true? Mine isn't going off, I have to switch it off manually.

I had one many years ago. It did not go off unless you pushed it to off, and I bought mine brand new.
