I have lots of spots and streaks on some color negs I developed yesterday. Can they be rewashed without damaging the negs? Can I also use Photo Flo after the rinse? I've not had this occur before with B&W, but my color neg experience is rather limited (2nd and 3rd rolls).

You can, but you really should use the stabilizer (last bath). It' important to use this because it helps preserve the dyes in the film.

Thanks Frank. The instructions say 1 min, which I did. Any idea where the streaks came from? The first roll I processed did not have these.

Offhand, it's hard to say, but my best guess is that the final bath is dirty or that you have very hard water. If you can, try mixing up the stabilizer bath with distilled or de-mineralized water. I run all the water I use for mixing chemistry through an activated charcoal filter. Gets all the little bits and most of the hardness out of the tap water

Washing didn't do anything. I suspect it might be areas of incomplete development from my Patterson reels. The first roll I did was 120 on stainless steel reel and I did not have this problem. I think I'll load up another roll of 120 to see if it processes with these spots.

Start with the bleach and go clear through the stabalizer again.

Wipe gently.

Hang at a slight angle.
