Well it seems like some of you have gone above and beyond in the print exchange. Unfortunately I am not so technically advanced and sent c6h6o3 (Jim) a regular print. Hope you like it, if not it makes a great dustpan in a pinch.

Okay guys,

I'm a few minutes from completing my status report. To recap, I lost the original/only copy of my exchange assignments when my notebook PC died, and have had to reconstruct it based on PMs in my "Sent Items" and other folders as well as thread content.

It looks like some assignments still need to be made. I want to confirm that no one is yet sending photography to mark, bobfowler, kwmullet (not an issue, since I already got one from TPPhotog), MCHickman, and wbryant.

I also want to confirm that castilg, john neal, and MCHickman are still prepared to send photography to *someone*, but have not yet received the address of their recipient.

I've got two prints (at least) that I'm prepared to send, so there's a bit of a buffer.

The life cycle of exchange participation:
interested-> queried-> active-> paired-> acknowledged-> completed-> inactive

If you're INTERESTED in participating, you can send me a PM or
drop a note into the thread to that effect. If you haven't already
assented to the expectations of the exchange and given me (or whoever
the moderator is) your exact postal address, you will be QUERIED
for them. Once I know your postal address and have reason to believe
you understand the exchange expectations, you are considered
ACTIVE. Once the joinup date passes, you will be PAIRED
with someone who will receive some analog photography from you. Although
it's not necessary, if you mention that you have received the name and
address of your recipient and that work is planned, underway or
completed, I'll mark that you've ACKNOWLEDGED my PM. Again,
although not required, if your recipient mentions that (s)he has
received your work, I'll put you down as COMPLETED.

If, for any number of reasons, you find it necessary to drop out of the
exchange or want/need to sit out a cycle, I'll mark you as INACTIVE.

My wife and I just picked it up at the post office. We couldn't wait to get home, so we opened it right there - WOW! Bob, that print is just absolutely beautiful! You've captured a wonderful mood, and your printing is superb. We have a spot on the living room wall picked out for it already.

How about some tech details of that image? Film , etc.. I'd love to know what you used.

I went to your web site and saw that both of you loved music , so I thought I would give you an image that reflects the feeling of music.

The film is Tri X and the paper is Oriental G4 in Lith Developer, printed with lots of flash to give the smooth tones.
