Have any of you thought about or attempted to reverse c41 color negatives? Is it possible to retain a useable image?

With most C-41 films the mask hampers use for projection or light-table use. If that is what you have in mind.

Remain unmasked C-41 films. But here only one film ist left by now.

Assuming you're talking about cross processing through E-6, most colour negative films will yield dark, low contrast blue toned 'positive' images.
As AgX says, the main problem is the built-in orange mask that hampers results.

Film such as Vericolor 5072 Slide Film ( C-41 colour negative ) has a clear base, which would work to some extent.

Yep, but not lately. It's not really suited to daylight but handles artificial lighting well enough. Green shadows though.
