hello people have you ever used pyrocat hd as first developer for reversal film? how works?

i use super8 trix reversal film....

It would be a complete disaster as it stains the negatives, so after bleaching a you would still have the stained part negative image.

So no it wouldn't work !!! But it might give wonderful tone if used only as the second developer.

ian the same problem could i have with pyro pmk? the secondo developer affetc grain and tone?

when i order to my farmacist a pyrocat hd forumla, could i put all ingredient toghether?? (as several chimical are for example d:76 , hc110 , id11,microphen)
or i should dissolve every single ingredient?

thanks

You can't use any staining developer for the first development, so no PMK pyro. The second development is to completion but the type of developer can affect the image colour/tone. If you look at old formulae for Lantern slides you can find developers for different colours.

Keep the chemicals separate when you buy them, just mix what you need, adding the chemicals in the order listed in the formula.
