We would need to know a lot more about your workflow and your environment for this to be useful. For what it is worth, I ordered some Revere paper from Bostick and Sullivan a few months back and printed with it over the holidays (Dec). Had no issues with the paper, and it worked very well for me.
Hello,
Many thanks to all for your postings on the Revere Paper. I am new to Palladium printing and after transitioning my darkroom I finally made my first set of test prints from a (rather large) batch of the Revere paper that was purchased last summer (June or 2011) when the new Revere was first distributed. The tones are lovely - stunning really, but the greasy looking spots are a deal breaker!
For what it is worth here is a rundown of my workflow/formula:
-no pre-humidification of paper (darkroom was around 16% humidity)
-equal parts palladium to ferric oxalate applied w/ cheap hake brush (will be upgrading to a richeson brush)
-air dried on a screen for a couple of hours
- some tests prints were double coated (both had problems)
Am going to try the humidification and misting method as posted by John. I see that BS is still stocking this paper; does anyone know if the factory has resolved this issue with the later batches, or has everyone given up? Any suggestions for an alternative paper?

p.s. I am so grateful for this forum as I was able to attribute the problems to the paper not just my neophyte ways.
It is available, and just wonderful. I did not pre humidify. It is "faster" than the original...for me 4 min vs 5 for the original. I used less coating than before, abt 25% less. Subjectively better dmax. Coating dries fast. Great wet strength. Clears well. None of the issues some reportrd earlier. Easily distinguished from original version...the new is "whiter". Don't know who all has stock...got mine from New York Central. They have both versions...must ask for the new shipment. Details...I am using the 300 gsm version in 22x30 sheets and working and storing paper at rh 60%. Try it. Dialog welcome. John
The new batch of 300 GSM arrived from NY Central last week. I've only made a couple of quick test prints, but they look great. DMAX hit 1.43 with ease. So far, no indications of the problems from the first batch. I'll be doing some more thorough testing soon, but I am optimistic!
