About a year ago I began to bulk load film after a gap of twenty years. I use the plastic type that are identical to those I used back then. However I tried to load an EOS camera with the cassette and it wouldn't lie flat in the chamber, or wind on, so I experimented with various cameras and came to the conclusion that reloadable cassettes won't work in any of my AF SLRs (Nikon and Canon) or in my Canon T90. Anything prior to and including the A-Series cameras were fine (Yashica, Nikon, Canon, etc). I assume tolerances became closer with auto wind on and similar automation, while manual focus models had more leeway.

Anyone else found the same?

N75, F100, N55 all work fine with theses. In fact I have been using those since the 1980s without problem in any camera.

are they being pushed out by the DX contacts? I don't know if the camera in question requires them to advance or not.

Both plastic and metal reloadable cassettes work fine in my 4 different Canon autofocus film cameras.

No success so far with the digital one.:whistling:
